It is important to be proactive in researching the choices for funding your education. There are many financial aid options available to you at ASU. Students are encouraged to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year, available from your high school, the ASU Student Financial Assistance Office, or at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. When an Arizona State University Application for Admission is reviewed, each student is automatically considered for merit-based scholarships. Review the details, including priority deadlines, about the university merit-based scholarships at http://students.asu.edu/scholarships.
This webpage is helpful in estimating your costs of attendance: http://students.asu.edu/cost-attendance. Remember that in addition to the expenses shown on this worksheet, there is a special $250/semester honors college fee for all honors students, approved by the Arizona Board of Regents starting fall of 2006. This fee supports an extensive array of honors projects and activities ranging from opportunities to present at conferences to bringing in prominent outside examiners or persons with expertise in their discipline to sit on honors thesis committees. The fee also supports summer abroad scholarships and many other student services and programs.
