Honors Faculty Fellows
The Honors Faculty Fellows are a special category of honors faculty who are housed in the honors college. They teach freshman seminars and advanced seminars in the honors complex that range from humanities and fine arts through natural and social science and mathematics. The Barrett Professor and former Dean, Ted Humphrey, also teaches and has his office in the Barrett complex. Disciplinary Honors Faculty
The Honors Faculty in Disciplines are tenure-track and tenured faculty at ASU who teach courses, mentor students, guide thesis projects as first and second readers, and/or work on programs for Barrett students. (continue reading…)
Faculty Honors Advisors
Faculty Honors Advisors (FHAs) are regular faculty members in academic units who guide honors students in their field of study. They serve as the link between Barrett and the ASU disciplinary units and are invaluable members of the Honors Faculty at ASU. Faculty Honors Advisors have served honors students, their units, and Barrett for many years without financial compensation. Beginning in 2008, Barrett started a compensation program to fund FHAs at a level tailored to the size of the honors student cohort in their units. Honors External Examiners
The Honors External Examiner program encourages and funds the inclusion of distinguished scholars in the honors thesis/creative project process, enriching partner departments and enhancing both their visibility and their excellent students to nationally recognized experts at other universities.
