Barrett students are encouraged to explore and engage in internship experiences to:
- Gain hands-on experience in a professional setting
- Meet and connect with those in your field - potential future employers, coworkers, etc.
- Gain self-confidence, professional experience, and leadership skills
Students also have the opportunity to earn up to three upper-division honors credits during the fall or spring semesters for their internship experience. To learn more, please visit the Honors Credit page.
Barrett students have secured internships in the governor’s office, local congressional districts, and the United States Senate, as well as with Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Google, and The American Heart Institute. With the number of internship opportunities submitted by supporters of Barrett, The Honors College, students are sure to find a position to fit their academic and professional interests.
For Students
The most current internship opportunities for Barrett students will be publicized over the Honors-L listserv, on social media, and at the bottom of this webpage. Students are also encouraged to engage in other experiences and opportunities with an internship and experiential-learning component such as University Service-Learning (USL), Vive Peru, and Study Abroad.
