Craig Allen is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean of the Barrett Honors College at the Downtown Phoenix Campus. He supervises Barrett’s Downtown faculty, leadership team, and 750 students. Allen’s leadership also includes five years as chair of the ASU University Hearing Board, past presidency of ASU’s Downtown University Senate and membership on the University Academic Council and the ASU General Studies Council.
Mark Henderson is Associate Dean of the Barrett Honors College and President’s Professor of Engineering in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at ASU’s Polytechnic campus. He holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Purdue University. His areas of interest include human-centered design (especially for the developing world), global teaming, geometric modeling and design thinking.
Ramsey Eric Ramsey holds a Ph.D. from the Joint Program in Philosophy and Communication, Purdue University. Dr. Ramsey is the recipient of the ASU at the West campus award for Excellence in Teaching, a Wakonse Teaching Fellow, and multiple-time nominee for the ASU Parents Association Professor of the Year Award. He teaches advanced honors seminars in philosophy as well as sections of the Barrett first-year seminar The Human Event.
Margaret Nelson is Professor in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change and Vice Dean of Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University. She has been recognized for her teaching excellence as ASASU Centennial Professor, Parents Association Professor of the Year, and ASU President’s Professor. Her teaching addresses critical thinking, research skills, and collaboration across traditional academic disciplines. In addition she includes undergraduate and graduate students in her archaeological research.
Dr. Mark Jacobs is the Vice Provost and Dean of Barrett Honors College and Professor in the School of Life Sciences at ASU. He came to ASU in the fall of 2003 from Swarthmore College, where he had held an endowed chair in biology and had been both Chair of the Biology Department and Associate Provost of the College. He received his BA magna cum laude from Harvard in biology and earned his Ph.D. at Stanford University in biological sciences.
Dr. Kristen Hermann is the Dean of Students and Associate Dean for Student Services in Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University. Dean Hermann has 24 years of experience in academic and student affairs administration that include 15 years at Barrett, three years in the Graduate College at ASU and six years at the University of California Santa Barbara and the University of California Hastings College of the Law. She received both a bachelors and masters degree in English Literature, and a doctorate in Higher Education Leadership and Policy.
