Student Engagement

Ash March

Ash has joined us from his position as Student Engagement Management Intern where he supervised, organized and managed Student Organizations on the Polytechnic Campus.  Ash graduated Summa Cum Laude from ASU and Barrett in 2017 with a BA in Education and a minor in German. He has experience as a student teacher in Elementary and High School, Sports Club Coordinator, Sun Devil Kids’ Camp Coordinator, Academic Mentor and Pat’s Run Marathon Volunteer, among other positions.

Kelsey Dean

Kelsey is an Arizona native returning home from Washington, DC where she served as the Special Events Producer for a young arts theater and educational program. She has experience in large scale events for development in non-profit and for-profit institutions. She graduated Suma Cum Laude with a B.S. in Marketing.

Rachel DiDonna

Rachel serves as a Program Coordinator on the Tempe Campus where she oversees large-scale events and student-run programs for Barrett, The Honors College. New to Sun Devil Country, she received her undergraduate degree in History and Secondary Education from the University of Maryland: College Park and her graduate degree in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs from Boston College.

Amy Sever

Amy is the Director of Student Community Development, Retention and Outreach and is responsible for operations that enhance the overall quality of student life and student success in the Barrett Honors College with a focus on the four-year residential experience at Vista del Sol. She has worked over sixteen years in student services, recruiting, corporate relations and student engagement. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Evansville, Indiana and a Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Arizona State University.

Ellyse Crow

Ellyse is a proud alumna of Barrett, the Honors College and has her BA in Business Communication and BS in Management from the W.P. Carey School of Business. In May 2017, she received her Masters of Education in Higher and Postsecondary Education from ASU. Ellyse is based at the Tempe campus and works with the Barrett student organizations and the Barrett Student Center at Vista del Sol. She is looking forward to working with student leaders to develop their leadership skills and create opportunities for Barrett students to get involved.

Kira Gatewood

Kira is a second-year doctoral student in the Leadership and Innovation program in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at ASU. She comes to us from Chicago, Il where she earned an M.Ed in Higher Education and a B.A. in Theatre. Since 2105 she has worked in Barrett to support the student experience. She focuses on connecting students to campus and community resources, developing programs and events that assist in building the downtown Barrett community and creates student leadership opportunities.

Sasha Billbe

An alumna of Barrett, the Honors College, Sasha has a Master’s in Education from Northern Arizona University and is currently a little over halfway through her Doctorate of Education from Arizona State University. Sasha has been with Arizona State University professionally for close to five years, and with Barrett, the Honors College for three. She is a Program Manager for the Honors College and oversees admissions, retention, housing, and student engagement for Barrett students enrolled at the West campus.

Dr. Dawn Rendell

Dean Rendell received her BS in Biology from Northern Arizona University, her Masters of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and Ed.D in Educational Policy, Research, and Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Dean Rendell has worked at ASU and Barrett since 2014.

Jennifer Brady

Jennifer Brady is a Program Manager on the Polytechnic campus and has been working with Barrett students since 2009.   Jennifer works in several areas, including Admissions, and also coordinates the Polytechnic Honors Residential Community.    Over the past eight years the honors population at Polytechnic has grown over 500%, and during this exciting time, she has worked to establish many student programs, including a four-year residential community at Poly; the Polytechnic Mentoring Program; the BHC Poly Retreat; and the Polytechnic Honors Devils. Jennifer has a B.A.

Ashley Brand

Ashley is a proud alumna of Barrett, the Honors College and studied Communication, History, and Justice Studies during her undergraduate career at Arizona State University. Ashley also received her Masters of Education in Higher and Postsecondary Education from ASU. As a life-long learner, Ashley has also completed her graduate certificate in Non-Profit Management and Leadership, as well as her Health Coach certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
