Title: Mediterranean Crossroads: Past and Present

Description: Explore Turkey's culture and history as a country located at the crossroads of the Eastern Mediterranean, between Europe and the Middle East. Students will discover the country's rich history as well as its contemporary culture and society on-site at one of the biggest metropolitan areas of the country, Izmir. In addition, students will visit the towns of Alacati, known for its distinct architecture and windmills, and Selcuk, the ancient city of Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary.

Eligibility: Must be a Barrett Honors student who earned at least a C in HON 171 or HON 370
