Heather Boysel graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in bioengineering from Arizona State University with honors from Barrett, the Honors College in 2004.

In 2007, she received a juris doctorate from the Sandra Day O'Connor School of Law at ASU and went into legal practice at Gammage & Burnham, a Phoenix-based law firm. At the age of 37, she is now the first female managing partner of the firm and was recently named to the Phoenix Business Journal 40 Under 40 list of outstanding young executives.
