Prompted by the tragic death of her father, Charity Bhebhe developed an interest in medicine at an early age in her native Zimbabwe.

Charity Bhebhe plans to use her research skills to investigate and prevent diseases.

 

 

 


She acted on that interest as an Barrett Honors College student majoring in molecular biology and biotechnology and working in a research lab at Arizona State University. 

She completed her bachelor's degree and earned a Gates Cambridge Scholarship, one of only 92 granted worldwide, in 2018. She is now in the early stages of a PhD in pharmacology at the University of Cambridge. Her ultimate goal is to use her research skills to investigate and prevent diseases. Read more.
