John Brennan, former director of the Central Intelligence Agency, spoke about the negative political discourse in America during a speech before an audience of 500 at the Tempe Center for the Arts on February 28.

His talk, titled "The State of Political Discourse in America" was the 2019 John J. Rhodes Lecture in Public Policy and  American Institutions presented by Barrett Honors College.
