The American Military and the Withdrawal from Afghanistan. A Barrett Community Dialogue with Rep. Richard Andrade and Dr. Ben Fong
After two decades of occupation, the US military withdrew from Afghanistan at the end of August. Since conscription ended with Vietnam, the American experience of war is distant and disconnected. On Thursday, November 4th at 6pm in the Vista Theater, Barrett faculty member Benjamin Y. Fong will sit down with Rep. Richard Andrade, Air Force veteran and current member of the Arizona House of Representatives, to speak about what this momentous occasion means in the broader context of American foreign policy.
