Gbemi Disu is the Chief Business Office at George Mason University in Korea – providing all strategic and operational responsibilities to the program and reports directly to the president. 

Gbemi has a diverse background, which started at ASU. While triple-majoring in Economics, International Business, and Communication; she was the first Global Excellence Award recipient at Barrett. She went on to receive her MBA in International Finance and Marketing from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. 

While working in global corporate settings, Gbemi realized she missed working and learning in a higher-education environment. Gbemi’s next paths included Executive Education certificates from Thunderbird in Oil and Gas Management and Global Leadership & Change Management; an Executive Education certificate from Columbia Business School in Organization Leadership; and two Executive Education certificates from Harvard Business School in Strategic Leadership and Strategy & Finance. 

This discussion will surround her career in international engagement, navigating cross-cultural challenges, and thriving even when different.
