Barrett, The Honors College, is a community of students within Arizona State University who enjoy the considerable resources of a premier [1] Research I university combined with the close, personal attention provided by the staff, faculty, and deans of the highest ranked honors college in the nation.

Historically, the Barrett experience has only been available to ASU undergraduates studying at the Downtown, Polytechnic, Tempe, and West campuses. In the fall of 2021, Barrett welcomed its first ever cohort of ASU Online students as part of an exciting pilot program to explore expanding access to the unique honors curriculum and experience. Barrett Online is currently entering a second phase with plans to enroll small groups in fall 2022 and spring 2023.

There is no single type of Barrett student and no “typical” honors experience. We welcome ASU Online students from all backgrounds, majors, and interests to consider joining Barrett. Honors students seek to challenge themselves, go above and beyond in their academic commitment, and engage with fellow members of the honors community.
