Honors Curriculum

Barrett curriculum is designed to develop habits of mind that enable persons to be lifelong learners, creative problem solvers, and participatory citizens in a democratic society. The College emphasizes:

  • small classes and seminars, generally limited to 25 students
  • multidisciplinary team-taught courses and other engaged modes of learning
  • the development of critical reading, discussion, and writing skills.

The College appoints faculty members who are responsible for offering the core honors curriculum and collaborates with all colleges to offer Honors seminars and sections and Honors Enrichment Contracts.
