SEO Intern Overview: The 5 websites administered by the Foundation at the request of the Arizona Supreme Court, LawForKids, LawForSeniors, AZLawHelp, LawForVeterans, and AzCourtHelp, are collecting and populating materials onto the site daily. The optimization of all the sites is essential to boosting the rankings and usage of each one.. Current task priorities are: • Evaluate the current SEO rankings • Recommend changes that can be made to improve the SEO of the site • Edit meta descriptions and metatags within the site • Increase website speed through the optimization of images • Explore the use of Schema markups • Properly caption and tag images • Analyze website usage and Google rankings Through this internship the participant will gain: • A hands-on experience improving the optimization of state-wide websites • A knowledge of the Joomla interface • The ability to summarize court-related information • An introduction to Adobe programs (Acrobat, Lightroom, Photoshop) • A wider understanding of the Arizona court system
Candidates with a GPA of 2.0 or higher at one of Arizona's colleges/universities who will have at least 24 hours at the end of the last semester prior to application. Students from all majors and disciplines are encouraged to apply.
