Project Description:

The @HEART Lab is a multidisciplinary lab using a multilevel perspective to study the development of romantic relationships and adjustment. We combine longitudinal dyadic assessments with several direct observation methods, experimental methodologies, ecological momentary assessments, salivary biomarkers, heart rate variability and high-density array EEG neurocognitive assessments. We partnered with the Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) to study how school and social connectedness can improve students’ school engagement, academic success, health, and wellbeing over time. We have a fantastic team of undergraduate students that work on this project and travel to Tucson on occassion to collect data in the schools we are assessing. We are looking for motivated undergraduates to assist in this study and learn more about school assessments, data analysis, and intervention science.
