Project Description: 

Are you interested in research? The Herman Van Horn lab has openings! Our lab dives into Diabetes, obesity, and explores the effects of various diets/treatments. We are looking for long-term research assistants (freshman and sophomores are welcome)! Students will gain an understanding of diabetes and obesity, learn about weight gain models, and acquire valuable research experience. We are looking for students who have a time commitment of at least 5 hours a week. Students will have an opportunity to run their own research projects. We are a hands on lab looking for individuals majoring in STEM courses! In addition, we are looking for an engineer to understand and work on advanced medical machinery. Biochemical/Chem students who are looking to understand the molecular break down of diets and the effects on the body are also encouraged to apply!
