Welcome to ASU and Barrett! We are delighted you are here and ready to connect you to your new home. We are particularly proud of this community and the ability to connect you to resources that are pivotal to your success. We know starting your first year in college can be overwhelming and we are here to offer dynamic camps to make the transition even easier. Barrett across all four campuses offers unique value added opportunities and to find out more about your campus offerings, please click on the tab below to find out about your campus offerings.

Downtown - Camp B Downtown - Camp B Downtown - Camp B

First-year Barrett Downtown students are expected to participate in this unique experience. Students will depart on buses to Mangus Mountain Camp in Prescott, AZ at 7 am on Saturday, August 24, 2019 and will return to the ASU Downtown Campus at 5 pm on Sunday, August 25th. Join your Barrett Downtown student leaders and staff for an adventure you don’t want to miss. This is an opportunity to bond with your mentoring group and compete as a team to win the Barrett Cup!

Barrett students at ASU Polytechnic enjoy a weekend of socializing, relaxing, and learning all about Barrett! You will get to know student mentors, staff, and honors faculty and find out more about the many resources and opportunities open to you as an honors student.  This is a great chance to meet other Barrett Students and make new friends in the cool pines of Tonoto Creek in Payson! The Retreat open to incoming Barrett Poly freshman. If you're under 18, you'll have to have your parents fill out a waiver.

Tempe - Camp B Tempe - Camp B Tempe - Camp B

On the Tempe Barrett campus, we offer an optional overnight camp in Northern Arizona to all first year out of state students. We know it is particularly helpful to meet other Barrett students before classes start. At this camp, our students benefit from learning more about Barrett resources, Sun Devil traditions, and networking with Barrett staff and student leaders to have fun and get acclimated to our Barrett community.
Dates: August 16th-17th

Cost: $60

Cost Includes: 

  • Transportation on a motor coach bus to/from Tempe
  • All meals (2 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 1 dinner, s’mores, snacks)
  • Lodging for 1 night at camp

  • Early Move-In to ASU Housing

Join the Barrett West community at Camp on October, 6th, and 7th at Camp Friendly Pines.  For the first time ever, the camp will include Color Wars!  Registration for the Barrett West Camp will become available on August 1st, 2018.  Students from all academic years are invited to attend this unique, overnight experience in Prescott.
Dates: October 6-7th
Registration: Opens in July
Cost: $25

Cost Includes:

  • Transportation on a motor coach bus from/to West
  • All meals (1 breakfast, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, and snacks)
  • Lodging for 1 evening
  • Camp t-shirt
  • Materials for all activities 
Students will be able to purchase an optional camp sweatshirt for an additional $15
