Barrett Women's League (BWL)
The Barrett Women’s League (BWL) is devoted to providing honors students opportunities to connect with each other and with faculty, staff, and alumni of Barrett, The Honors College. BWL aims to increase the awareness and accessibility of resources and faculty for Barrett students, in addition to empowering members to reach their fullest potential as professional women. Founded in the Fall of 2015, BWL has quickly embedded itself within the Barrett community by partnering with other Barrett organizations and events. In its inaugural semester, the League heard from several distinguished speakers, including:
- Dean Kristen Hermann, Associate Dean for Student Services at Barrett, The Honors College
- Dean Teri Pipe, College of Nursing & Health Innovation
- Dr. Omaya Ahmed, Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Biodesign Institute & Barrett Honors alumna
General meetings are held monthly and are open to all honors students, faculty, and staff. We celebrate new members and look forward to hearing your unique perspective on developing professional skills & encouraging further female advancement across the highly competitive fields and industries that make up our student body.
