ONSA guides students

The Lorraine W. Frank Office of National Scholarships Advisement (ONSA) helps Arizona State University students and alumni compete for external scholarships and fellowships that fund research, international study, professional development or post-graduate study. Over the past two decades, hundreds of ASU students have been awarded millions of dollars in external funding, placing ASU among the top schools in the United States for success in these types of national scholarship competitions. As a comprehensive student support program, ONSA provides individual advising, writing instruction, professional development workshops and information sessions throughout the year. There is no single “type” of student who wins a major national scholarship or fellowship.

Academic awards stories

Barrett boasts a remarkable record in the number of nationally-competed post-graduate fellowships and scholarships won by our students, due in large part to the direct access honors college students have to the Office of National Scholarships Advisement. The profiles below demonstrate that students from diverse backgrounds and with different career ambitions can, with persistent effort and strong motivation, succeed in these competitions.
