Sedona Excursion

Experience includes:

  • Travel in comfort to and from beautiful Sedona, AZ 
  • Complimentary light snacks, coffee, and fresh morning pastries 
  • Entrance into stunning Slide Rock area with opportunities to swim, hike and take in breathtaking natural scenery

Price: $50 per person. Guests are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

After your Slide Rock adventure, explore charming downtown Sedona at your own pace. Wander through vibrant art galleries, discover shops filled with unique treasures and soak up the natural beauty and creative energy all around. Please note: Lunch is not included.

8 a.m.Bus departs from Tempe
9:30 a.m.Arrive at Slide Rock State Park; enjoy 2.5 hours to explore, swim, hike, take in the scenery, etc.
NoonTravel to downtown Sedona for lunch (not provided), sightseeing, browsing galleries, shopping and more
2:30 p.m.Depart Sedona
4 p.m.Approximate return to Tempe

  • Pets are not allowed on this excursion. Service animals are welcome and permitted in all areas. Emotional support animals, therapy animals, and pets are not considered service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and do not have the same access rights.

Preconference Faculty Workshop

The honors classroom is evolving, and so are the ways we teach and support our students. This optional interactive preconference session gives faculty time to focus on the opportunities and challenges unique to honors education. Part I covers effective teaching in today’s AI environment with strategies and assignments that strengthen student critical thinking and writing skills. Part II offers a collaborative conversation about career pathways and ways to build leadership skills for professional growth. Participants will explore innovative approaches, share strategies that work, and leave inspired for the year ahead. Lunch is provided as part of the session fee.
