Student life at Barrett Tempe

Get involved at Barrett Tempe

There are all sorts of ways to engage with the Barrett Tempe community! There’s not just one type of student in Barrett, so you’ll find a diverse set of events, clubs, and leadership opportunities to pick from.

Student organizations

While ASU has over 1,000 clubs and organizations, Barrett Tempe has more than 15 official student organizations to get involved in, with interests ranging from service to sustainability to creative writing. Joining a student organization is a great way to meet other Barrett students at different points in their four years, and in diverse majors. At the beginning of each semester, Barrett hosts an event for all of the student organizations to table in our courtyard and share information about their club with new students.

Barrett Mentoring Program (BMP)

The Barrett Mentoring Program is designed to help you make connections and feel supported in college. The BMP helps students create more connections and build a community while also providing social support.

As a first-year student on the Tempe campus, you will automatically be enrolled in this program, where you will be assigned a current upper division Barrett student to be your mentor. Not only will you have an upperclassman available to answer any questions, but you will also have a group of first-year students to immediately connect with!
