Cost of attendance

An exemplary education

Barrett, The Honors College provides an exemplary education and unique honors experience for ASU undergraduate students at an affordable cost. ASU students who are enrolled in Barrett pay the same university tuition as non-honors students in their degree program, but have an additional honors college fee of $1,000 per semester.

Any conversation about the costs of college attendance should go beyond tuition and include housing, meal plans, books and incidental expenses such as entertainment and travel for out-of-state students.

Barrett fee

All fee monies are invested in bettering the honors experience for Barrett students. The honors college fee supports an extensive array of honors academic courses and student programming. Students may access funding to support activities that enhance their honors experience including: presenting at conferences, conducting research projects, participating in summer programs, travel and many other Barrett co-curricular activities.

The fee also supports a variety of scholarships, from summer study abroad scholarships to community scholarships. Barrett students can play an active role in determining the allocation of the fee revenues by joining the Dean’s Advisory Fee Committee through the Barrett Honors College Council.
