Host HERU 2028

HERU 2026 has come to a close, and it’s time for Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University to pass the torch to the next outstanding host institution for HERU 2028. 

We invite institutions interested in hosting to begin envisioning what their HERU experience could look like.

Proposal Timeline

White paper proposals are due August 15, 2026.

What to Include

  • A clear picture of your vision and capacity to host HERU
  • Suggested timeframe (typically mid to late May)
  • Overview of your location and campus, including what makes it distinctive
  • Potential institutional support or underwriting opportunities
  • Projected conference registration fees
  • Anticipated conference length and general schedule structure
  • Estimated attendee capacity

Review Process

Submissions will be reviewed by members of the HERU 2026 planning committee. Key considerations include:

  • Overall conference vision
  • Location, including accessibility and variety of experiences
  • Available resources and institutional support
  • Selected institutions may be invited to submit a more detailed proposal.
