Barrett Downtown residential community

Housing for students at the ASU Downtown campus is designed with comfort and convenience in mind. Taylor Place is the residential community for first-year honors students. Second-year honors students have the option of living in Taylor Place or Fusion on First, Downtown’s newest apartment-style residential community, which opened in 2021.

Taylor Place has lots of amenities –– like a laundry room with free washing machines and dryers on every floor, a dining hall, lounges with televisions and study space. Each room has a private bathroom and shower.

Tower 1 in Taylor Place has a shared room layout, while Tower 2 has private rooms and a common area. Odd-numbered rooms in Tower 1 and even-numbered rooms in Tower 2 have striking views of Downtown Phoenix.

Peer Academic Leaders

Peer Academic Leaders (PALs) live in the Barrett residential community and help honors students make the most of their undergraduate experience. They are friends and mentors who can help with practically anything - from school work to homesickness to connecting with peers.

Peer Academic Leaders plan bi-weekly events to bring the Barrett student community together for fun, friendship and fellowship. Events have focused on mindfulness techniques, professional assistance with resume writing, Bob Ross painting and more. Each event includes a free meal for participants.
